Silver Cliff Lights
Barb Saint-Amour is a retired school teacher who has played guitar since her college years, mainly singing around campfires as a camp counselor and later as a guide for pack trips in the Sangres. After retiring ten years ago, she started playing fiddle also at musical get-togethers around Westcliffe.
Terry Skaggs has been picking his guitar and singing in bands since he was a teenager, and at some point added the resophonic guitar to his repertoire ( that's the dobro). Since moving to Westcliffe he has played with several bands and has performed at the Bluegrass festival held in Westcliffe in July.
When Terry and Barb met through several performances at the Senior Center in Westcliffe, as well as the famous jam session at the Mining Company Restaurant, they decided to form a duo, Silver Cliff Lights, As a duo they have been together a little over two years, and together they have performed more than 100 gigs, from playing at the Tony's Mountain Pizza in Silver Cliff every week to weddings and private parties.
In the two years, they have produced two CD’s, Aspen Gold and Time, which both have original songs by Terry as well as popular covers. They truly enjoy performing for any crowd, any time.
